Oriental Medicine

Acupuncture is one of the primary tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a body of medical knowledge that has been in practice for over 3000 years. According to Chinese Medicine, we experience pain or disease because of an imbalance of energy flow within the body, mind, or spirit. Acupuncture uses the painless insertion of very fine, FDA approved, disposable needles into specific points on the body to balance and stimulate the flow of energy.

Modern medicine has confirmed the ancient Chinese discovery of energy meridians that regulate energy flow, or qi. When not flowing properly, these energy pathways can be blocked, stagnant, deficient, or excessive. A skilled practitioner inserts acupuncture needles at the appropriate points to influence the flow of qi, resulting in improved function and health. Many people find Acupuncture to be a deeply relaxing, regenerating experience.
